What are the Divas Doing?
STAGING A PHOTO SHOOT!!!
But not just your typical photo shoot --
This was a staged wedding reception that was a REAL PARTY!!!
Start with 40 of our friends as models,
stage it at the fabulous venue, 128 South,
glam it up with a Diva's Event Design theme,
complete with linens by A Tent Event,
accessorize all the models with hats & jewelry by Jan of aMuse,
plus style tips by "Style Girl" Jess James,
add an MOI catered buffet,
and a real Diva Wedding Cake,
then end the night with dance lessons by The Divas
with music provided by DJ Professionals' Brian McArtan,
and have it all captured in photos by fashion and wedding photographer,
Lisa Brown of Bella Rose Photography,
and on video by Dan Burke of Imecus and The Three Divas,
and you have
AN EVENT TO REMEMBER!!!
to view our "behind the scenes" video of this event,
"A Day in the Life of The Divas!"
In keeping with our 1950s "Frank Sinatra-esque" club theme,
we chose the colors of peacock blue
with claret red roses and white carnations

accented with peacock and ostrich feathers.
For the tables, we wanted a club feel so we created lamps
using vases, LED lights, and lampshades adorned with
claret red ostrich feathers and a glittery butterfly accent!

For the Art Deco Wedding Cake,
(and yes, it was real!)
we created Art Deco design elements from gum paste,
hand crafted butterflies with royal icing,
and accented the design with claret red roses.
"128 South" was the perfect environment for a trip down memory lane
to an era of fabulous style
that was created long before most of the "guests" had memories!!!

The "Bride" wore a vintage 1950s wedding dress
and the men's white dinner jackets completed the look!

Jan of aMuse and Wilmington's Style Girl Jess James accessorized each of the ladies
with 1950s inspired hats and vintage jewelry which resulted in this "wedding" having
some really glamorous "guests"!!!
The "Bride" & "Groom" and their adoptive "parents" for the evening
looked like the real deal!!!
To complete the look for Lisa's photos,
Jennifer taught the "guests" some 1950s dance moves,
"Born to Hand Jive Baby!!!"
Brian looking "suave" in his Fedora!!!
"FLY ME TO THE MOON!!!"
with a photo back drop that we created for the theme!
