Stylist & Wedding Photographer Lisa Brown of Bella Rose Photography
came to us with her vision for an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired
Wedding Photo Shoot!
Wedding Photo Shoot!
Together we worked tirelessly to bring Lisa's dream into reality
on one of the hottest
days of a Wilmington Summer
-- with very cool & calm looking results!!!
We found the perfect location for Lisa's shoot in the historic area of downtown Wilmington, NC.
After
we showed it to her, she cried!
It was everything she dreamed of and beyond!
By the
end of our 15 hour day of staging, and after the last photo was shot -- we all cried!
It couldn't have gone better!!!
Here are some of the fabulous photos that were a result of that day!
And at the end of this blog post, there is a
"Behind the Scenes" Video
we did of our staging process
and Lisa's brilliant work as a photographer!!!

No Alice shoot would be complete without fabulous tea cups!
These Venetian Glass tea cups were the inspiration for the color of the event design for the staging.
Lisa's grandmother brought them home from her trip to Italy in 1968!
Each raspberry napkin was tied with a cameo and a sprig of heather.
The miss-matched china was placed on gold chargers
and set with gold flatware.
and set with gold flatware.
Cut crystal water goblets completed the setting.
Various elements of "Wonderland" inspired design
were placed along the table.
Silk butterflies fluttered above each floral arrangement
created with Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Freesia and Heather
and arranged in white porcelain tea pots.
A Chandelier was strung above the table between two trees
and fitted with real tapered candles.
To each side of the wedding reception table
we staged "Alice" inspired designs
including clocks hung and set, of course,
to 6:00 -- "Wonderland Tea Time!"
For the shoot, Lisa hired a companion for her "Alice" Bride -- a bunny!
Yes, that is a live bunny -- huge eyes and all!
She responded like a real trouper, even snuggling down into an oversized tea cup for one of her shots!
We staged the beautiful gazebo with a table filled with sumptuous desserts,
and decorated it with white hanging lanterns, lit with pillar candles,
and with various floral arrangements of pink hydrangeas
and oversized ferns.
And yes, the cake was real! The sugar clocks were set at 6:00 -- Wonderland time!
It is always tea time in Wonderland!
The sun began to set and our "fireflies"
(LED lights tucked in everywhere!)
began to glow!
We hung the garden gates with floral designs...
...and filled the flowing fountain with rose petals!
Lisa styled her "Alice" Bride in a pale pink vintage dress,
and accessorized her with vintage jewelry, white butterflies in her hair,
and gold sparkling shoes!
The Bridal Bouquet was made of Garden Roses,
in different shades of pink and creme,
white Ranunculus, white Freesia, and Heather.
It was tied with pink grosgrain ribbon and
accented with vintage jewelry!
Three happy Divas and a Bella Rose!!!
Just after this shot, and as we loaded the last of the event design into the truck,
the heavens opened and there was a torrential rain!
We all enjoyed a little rain dance to celebrate!
